Two Thumbs Way Up
All right, I'll admit it. I'm a couple of days late with my knitting update, but I have a finished project to share.

Project Details:
Pattern: Two Thumbs Up by Designedly, Kristi
Yarn: Mountain Colors Bearfoot in Moose Creek. I would estimate that I only used about half the skein of yarn for these mitts. I've had this ball of yarn for a long time and I really enjoyed knitting with it. The little bit of mohair makes it a little difficult to frog, but it's very soft and didn't split or fuzz at all.
Needles: 2 2.5mm addi turbo 24" circulars. I haven't used 2 circulars before (I tried it once, but ended up switching back to dpns), but I really liked it. The 2 circulars worked really well. It seems like the pattern went a lot faster and I didn't find the dangling needle annoying. So, I might have to try that method for a pair of socks.
Thoughts: I really liked this pattern. It is well written and fun. I like that it uses fine yarn and small needles - it makes the end result much more refined.

The genius part of this pattern is how the thumbs are constructed. There is no waste yarn, no picking up stitches, and best of all, no holes.

Kristi did a great job of designing the mitts and you did a lovely job of knitting them! I need to buy the pattern right now. I love the mug you're holding. I enjoy the mug you sent me almost every day after work with some cocoa or tea. Thanks again.

Great handwarmers! I love bearfoot too, so snuggly. I haven't seen that pattern, so I'll have to check it out (along with the brilliant thumb design!).

Pretty, pretty! It's a pretty major upgrade from "fetching," in my opinion. I agree that smaller yarn & needles are almost always worth the extra effort.

Beautiful. I liked them before but the whole no waste yarn, no picking up stitches, no holes has me stumped. I may have to buy the pattern just to see how she does it!

They look awesome! I've been thinking about trying that pattern too, although I am a little iffy about the two circs thing.

Very kooool! I will have to check out that thumb! (I saw on Knitty Gritty the other day a method for doing fingers in that "double knit" that ends up being a tube..that sounds good, too.)

Very nice mitts! The no holes part really caught my eye, as I've been having problems with that. I'll have to get that pattern to see how it's done.
