Vegas Didn't Kill Me
But work just might. Why is it that coming back to work after a vacation is so much worse than it ever was before you left? Vegas was fun, but tiring. The whole drinking and smoking and gambling thing isn't my bag. There wasn't enough knitting. Ok, seriously, the rodeo was really good and there were a lot of people there Travis and I high school and college rodeoed with and we had a great time catching up. I was just amazed at how many kids they all have. Makes me feel old.

I have made some progress on the second sock. I have about 7 inches done. A couple of more and I'll be ready for the heel. Then begins the never-ending leg. Sigh. I have a baby sweater (a Dale) that needs to be done by January 10th. So, when do you think I should start that? Do you think I can finish the sock first or should I start on the sweater immediately? I decided to make a 12 month size because the little guy is supposed to be born in February and the whole family is going to Norway next year for Christmas. Hopefully he can wear his sweater and hat in Norway - there isn't much need for a wool sweater and hat in Phoenix.
Here we are on the top of the "Eifel Tower" at the Paris.

Love the picture of you two. I'd finish the sock and THEN start the seater.

Vegas is a different world...that's certain. You two look fabulous. It's nice to see a picture of you and T.

You better start that sweater ASAP and just so you know? Dale sweaters tend to run small. I'd go to 18 mo if available. CUTE picture of you guys!

The Rodeo looks like fun! (and HUGE!)
I hate, hate, hate coming back after vacation. It's too rough a transistion getting back into normal life. Especially Vegas. It's like another planet!
I'd probably at least cast on and get stuff going for the sweater. The sock will be good "filler" knitting....

Good picture of you two! (Travis has a slight resemblance in this picture to Russell Crowe... anyone else see it?)
Love your coat ;)

Post vacation re-entry is always tough!
I keep coming across things that make me feel old too. Though DH had a really tough one a few weeks ago! Meeting someone at a NANOWRIMO party who is a freshman in collage and getting the realization that she could be a kid of someone he went to high school with! Yikes!

Hmmm... I would say that since he won't be wearing the sweater till next winter anyway, you've got time to finish the sock first. Just my two cents :)

I think start the sweater at least.. check on gauge and cast on. January 10 is soon! cute photo of you and Travis!

Cute photo of you and Travis! I like your coat too.
I'm also for starting the sweater now too...knitting the sock might be more enjoyable if you're not rushing to finish it so that you can get to the sweater.

hhmmm, can you work on the sweater and the sock at once? alternating back and forth? that would be my choice of action :) looks like you had a nice little getaway. everyone needs those to help clear the head.

good idea about making the 12 month size, he'll be styling on his trip next year.

Welcome back! I would love to go to Vegas, but I fear that the smoke alone would kill me......or the gambling...........or perhaps the drinking. Yeah, I'd better stay here.
Cute picture of you and your cowboy!!!!
