What Day Is It?

Wow. I can't believe I've been away so long. I've missed you guys! The brief from hell is finally on the big boss' desk for review, so no more blood, sweat, and tears on it for at least a day or two. It's times like this, after a couple of weeks like I just had, that I really think I ought to think seriously about a future career as a waitress. But I doubt I could afford my fiber habit on tips alone. You'd think that I'd have some knitting and sewing and spinning news after my rather long absence, but I don't. I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but I've only knit one gauge swatch since I got back from New Mexico. Butterfly has been neglected, Trellis is still waiting for the replacement needle, and I have a new project I'm still swatching for. It's a secret project, but I'll show you the yarn.

Gorgeous isn't it. It's Sundara Yarn. I'm test knitting a sweater pattern for Purly and I just love the color she dyed for me. I knit one swatch Saturday night and my gauge was a little off, so tonight I'm going to try again and see if I can't get it right.

Other than that, I haven't done much. I did go shopping with a friend on Saturday. I really needed to get away from my brief for a few hours. We had a lovely morning. I bought a couple of pairs of pants for work from the Gap and a new bra and undies from Gap Body. That's the first time I've tried any of their lingerie and I have to say that I was impressed. Cute styles, good size selection, and decent prices - very impressive.

Tomorrow I'll have pictures of the very cute apron I got from Angela in our little apron swap! So cute. Travis thinks it's cute too, but I'm not going to tell you (or take pictures for that matter) specifically what he thinks about it! Have a great day.

One can only imagine what Travis thinks;-)
The color is fabulous. Can't wait to see what it becomes. It's good to see you again!

Congrats on finishing the brief! I know what you mean about life as a lawyer... sometimes I look at roadside construction crews on my way to work and envy them just a bit. I could totally be the person that holds the stop/slow sign up for oncoming traffic!

That yarn is gorgeous. Is it Purly's sock weight yarn?

Can't wait to see pictures of your apron. Everyone's aprons have turned out so cute!

Man, have I missed you! That yarn is a fantastic color.

Didn't I just see your photo on a milk carton?! And where are the photos of the bras and panties after all this wait?! That's the least you could do. Seriously, we missed ya!

Awwww! I can't wait to see it! You gotta tell me what Travis thinks!

Yay! Glad your brief is done (for now) and that the yarn arrived safe and sound. And that you like it. That color (013) is actually my most favorite color of all my solids.

Are you having issues with row gauge? A few of the other knitters are as well, so let me know.

I love Gap body. Their bras fit me perfectly, so I'm a die hard for life. Bras are so hard to find.

Lucky you, getting to test knit with sundara yarn!!

I'm betting Travis would like you to wear it in the kitchen while baking some yummy stuff, with your new Gap Body goods! :) I'm glad to see you back and that yarn looks lovely!

I dont' know, some waitresses at very high end restaruants make great money, however I can't walk without spilling something so it's not an option for me.

Glad to se eyour hellish brief is at least for the moment done. I've missed you!

I love the yarn -- I just may have to get some of hers one of these days!

Welcome back! Looking forward to seeing the apron - I actually have a sewing date this weekend, so I might get somewhere!

I keep seeing Sundara's yarn all over the internet, and I am continuously blown away by the sheen and color and wow. I think I might have to get me some. :)

Anyway, I'm glad the brief is finished and you're back! Thanks for the tip on Gap Body, I've been curious, but afraid to stray from my tried and true Vicky's secret bra.
