Not A Thing

I am quite ashamed that I don't have a single thing to tell you. I've only knit about 2 rows on my latest project since Sunday. I had plans to knit at lunch today, but I spent my lunch hour buying t-shirts and iron-on letters for our office picnic team. The picnic is tomorrow afternoon and I've completely lost my mind because somehow I volunteered to be on our division's "team." I'm not even sure what that means. It has something to do with those little games we used to play as kids - sack races and stuff like that. But the problem is that the exact games are top secret. So I've volunteered for something I don't know anything about. Sounds like a good plan, doesn't it? I really hope there aren't any pictures of this fiasco, but if there are, you know I'll share with you. Anyway, there are 4 of us on a team - 2 guys and 2 girls - and we needed matching shirts so that's what I did over my lunch. Long story short, no knitting. Spinning and sewing have suffered the same fate. It's pretty sad around here. To add to my no-knitting dilemma, we moved karate to tonight because I have the picnic and everyone else has some music thing tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed for knitting tomorrow. If you have a couple fingers to spare, I can use all the help I can get.

I'm still laughing over your being in charge of the team games! You are in big trouble!!!
At least they knew to pick you to make matching shirts.

I'd cross anything for you, hon. I really want to see pictures of you in a sack race, though. :-)

Wow, your office sounds really nice! Forget picnics, and if they even tried, our matching T-shirts would probably say "Kick Me."

You could have sewn really cute shirts if they would have given you more notice. And regarding the volunteering . . . oh boy! I always get pulled into stuff that I don't know what all is involved. I think it has something to do with the word "sucker" on my forehead. I hope to see pictures too.

Hey those two rows took a while! I know it.

There, you see? You really don't need KNITTING to talk about! Or be ashamed of not talking about. (We want pie.)

It certainly sounds like you have plenty to talk about! Hope the picnic is fun....

Fingers are crossed here! Have fun at the picnic!

Hang in there and try to have fun at the picnic. The knitting will be there when you're ready. Not everyone can knit 100% of the time! Just don't become a complete slacker like me.

Hmm, I need an office picnic, but then it's just be me and my boss, and well that wouldn't be any fun. Okay I just need a picnic.

I haven't knitted or spun to any true degree either, maybe it's just the end of summer tradition. oh well hopefully soon life calms down for both of us and we can get back to normal.
