Drive By Blogging
Hi Guys. Sorry I've been absent, but it isn't going to get much better until some time next week. This weekend was hot (really, really hot!) and busy and I didn't do much knitting (and, ahem, no spinning). The broken Holz & Stein has put Trellis on hold. I've managed to order another one, but mail from Germany isn't exactly overnight. I might try to knit a bit with the Addi Naturas until it gets here, but we'll just have to see how that goes. Sunday I worked on my apron for our little apron swap and I actually managed to get it done. Here's a sneak peak, but I can't show you the whole thing until the recipient has it in her hot little hands.

The only other thing I worked on this weekend was a new project bag for my on-the-go knitting. I found a tutorial over at Craftster and modified it to be a bit larger. I still need to attach the bands for the top and a button, but it is a simple project that I used stash fabric for!

Tomorrow I'm headed back to New Mexico. My little sister is turning 30 on Thursday and my mom's throwing her a huge birthday bash. So, it will be a quick trip and I'm taking work with me - why or why do I have a supreme court brief to write and family things at the same time? I'll have a computer, so I'll try to blog while I'm gone. I'm also taking Butterfly and I hope to get some evening knitting done - always the optimist! Have a great week.

Cool bag...where is this Craftster? It's been pretty brutal here, too...we are supposed to get over 100 today and worse tomorrow. Enjoy the trip, and even though I don't know your sister, send her my birthday wishes!

So, curiosity is piqued! Is it a state SC brief or a "the" SC brief?!?!?! I'm just trying to cram in knitting between now, the start of a new job & bar results that come back in October! Enjoy the mini-holiday...

Oh, isn't she in the southeast near Ruidoso? It is so pretty there... I hope you have a great time. I would take that dry heat over this swampy humidity any day!
Love the apron fabric ;)

Love the apron fabric! Enjoy your NM trip, and good luck finishing the brief. (the thought of writing a SCt brief makes me shudder!)

That is way too bad about the brief. I feel your pain.

Cute fabric projects! Too bad you have to do work while visiting family, very bad timing indeed.

Have a great trip! Working while on vacation is the worst, but hopefully the time with your family and some evening knitting will make up for it. : )

The bag fabric is cute - which one on Craftster did you use? (I have a couple bookmarked)

I'm catching up on the past week. Great bag, beautiful sky pictures, and of the children. And Trellis is looking beautiful. I really like the denseness, plus I just really like zephyr in general.
Hope you have a nice trip.

so sorry about your H&S. I know they'll do that when you are down in the size 3's or under, but still, what a sad sight.
as a matter of enabling, did you know they are now making Zephyr in a DK weight? new.
the fabric you are barely showing in your apron is fabulous

Wow, you are one rushing-around mama! Hope you have a fun visit with the family, even with work to do. The apron fabric is very tempting, and I am looking forward to seeing the whole thing soon. Are you going to Great Basin over Labor Day?
