Riley And Isabelle

Hi to all of mom's friends. This is Riley and Isabelle - it's really Riley, but since I don't spell very well and since Isabelle is smarter than I am, she's helping me with the typing and the sentence structure (or that's what she tells me she's doing).

(Isabelle doesn't like her picture taken - she's shy).

Mom didn't knit at all last night. She went and roped with dad and they locked me in the house. For 3 hours! That really makes me mad when they do that. It's just mean. Isabelle gets to stay outside and I don't understand why they won't let me go to the arena with them. Chasing the steers is a lot of fun. I really like to bite them on the heels and help put them in the chute. I guess they just don't like me anymore.

Mom said to tell you that she's busy with work today and that she hopes she can finish the baby sweater today at lunch. If she does she said she'll tell you all about it tomorrow. I just hope she doesn't knit any dog sweaters. I hate sweaters and coats - they itch. And I know Isabelle wouldn't like a sweater either - she likes to roll in the dirt a lot and it would get really dirty.

We're tired so we're going to go take a nap in the sun. Have a good day and we hope we get to talk to you again soon.

Dear Riley and Isabelle too, I'm so glad to see another dog blogging. Just so you know, when I blog, Basil helps me type. His beak is perfect for hitting the keys, my paws are just too big.

That's just so not fair that your mom and dad left you home, you could have really helped with the roping, they probably wouldn't have even needed rope with you there.

Too bad I couldn't get out of my keenel, I could hitch a ride and come see you, we could have lots of playing while our moms were at work.

Mom and dad took me to the vet last night, but it was okay because the vet didn't cut on me like mom said she was gonna.

Well I gotta go, Basil wants to order some stuff off of Ebay. Watch out for the ticks!

Love,
Abner

riley, i agree with abner that it's always good to see another dog blogging. i've only gotten to on mom's blog once so far but i have hopes she'll let me be guest blogger sometimes or something. if only i could manage the shift key so i could make capital letters. mom takes lith... litcher... literacy very seriously, even in her dogs. why, when she and grandma picked me up as a puppy, they both had shirts on with my name so that i'd know how to spell it by the time we got home. i know what you're going to say. she is silly, but i love her.

oh, and my best friend is a corgi named horatio. he's never even seen a cow, so i'd say you're ahead of the game there. i think i hear mom coming, i've got to go pretend to nap now. bye. --chappy

oh, and i can't do exclamation points or parentheseseses either. i think that now i've figured out the contraction things, i'll work on that next. bye.

Riley - you just go take it easy! You must be so busy running around and taking care of that household and watching Stephanie craft away! Go rest!

Riley, you are just too adorable! Thanks for posting while your mom was busy - that was very sweet of you. You should tell her you deserve an extra treat for being so good.

You're pretty cute, if you ask me - too bad you don't live closer to me and Ben. Do you like to play ball?

I don't like it so much when I get locked in the house either, but it does make for some good nap time........just trying to give you another way to think about things.

Love, Bella, professional female dachshund
