Reflections
As March draws to a close, I find myself thinking about the things I accomplished, and I have to be honest here. March was not very productive on the creative front. I had grand plans for my Project Spectrum projects, but didn't get to them all. I did make some pillows for my living room, but I have yet to hand sew the bottoms.

I started a pair of socks, and ripped them out. Started another pair, and I'm not sure about those either. I finished a skirt, but didn't finish a second one (and all I have to do is finish the hem - I'm seeing a pattern in the string of unfinished projects). I learned to spin! And I bought a car, which isn't creative, but is pretty darned exciting. I hope April will be more productive. I'd really like to finish my Sockapaloooza socks in the next couple of weeks (May 1 is the deadline after all) and Clapotis and maybe start the Trellis scarf from the latest IK. And then there's Rogue and Mermaid and all those socks I want to make. I keep seeing so many great sweater patterns, and my to-knit list just keeps growing and growing. How do you keep it manageable? My best intentions are really getting me nowhere.

You may not have had a lot of "products" to show for all your efforts this month, but you did do a lot. Don't discount that =)

Sounds pretty productive to me :-) I like your cushions, they are really cute.

I'm hoping April is far more productive on the finishing end of things. I realized this morning I hadn't finished anything since January. Now that's depressing. YOu've done a lot though, and those pillows are really nice. Just think, you could finish a ton of things in April, without a whole lot of work because so many are so close.
Have a great evening.

Hon, if I knew how to keep it manageable, I'd be writing a book or something. It's all okay. Remember, this is a hobby, not a job. No stress!

I like your pillows.. The patterned fabrics work really well with the leather couch+chair. As for knitting, you have lots and lots of time to knit things. I also have many projects that I want to knit. Maybe just take one at a time, evaluate after each sweater and decide which one to knit next. The master list of want-to-knit things can evolve over time.

Um...this is not a creative month for you? You learned to spin for goodness sake! Although I understand the finishing disease. Good luck with your projects.

manageable? what's that?!
not productive? umm you've been knitting socks, got a skirt sewn, made some pillows, and you've been spinning....all while working!!

I cannot believe you thought you had an unproductive month. Those pillows are gorgeous, no GORGEOUS! And the skirt . . . I'd like to place an order please. The socks will get there. And the car, again, all the yarn and sewing stuff you can fit in the back of that! Definitely a productive month.

WHAT? March is almost over? How the hell did that happen? Where did it go? Seriously, you did more than I did and you work. Nice pillows, too!

I'm definitely the *wrong* person to be asked about managing projects. I start several, change my mind, maybe rip out and start more. It can get frustrating but then life's too short to waste on projects that are going nowhere. Your situation is different, though. You have fun, cool projects, just a lot of them. Some people designate certain days for certain projects and that seems to work well. The projects would take a little slower to complete but you'd be working on all of them. Or you could prioritize based on need. This is what I end up doing - e.g., for an upcoming birthday or other event. BTW, love your pillows especially the embroidered(?) floral.

I will echo everyone else who said that you have been extremely productive in March! Productivity doesn't always show itself in finished objects, even though the lack of FOs can be discouraging. For me, I go through cycles of starting projects, not having any FOs for awhile, then showing a couple at once because I've been on a finishing kick.
Lately, I've been keeping my to-knit list manageable by not really having one. The list didn't seem to be working for me, so now I'm just going with the "what-I-feel-like-knitting-next" approach. And I agree with Lynette -- life is too short to waste on projects that aren't going anywhere.
What yarn are you planning to use for the Trellis scarf?

Who said it should stay managable. Buying a car is very car is very creative. You had to get a good price and find the right car and pick a color and....it's all good.
The pillows are fabulous!

Stephanie - the pillows are wonderful! I don't think that you always need to be productive -
