I'm In Trouble

So I'm sure you all know I have fiber addiction issues. But, it appears I also have book addiction issues. Miss Stephanie has been reviewing books, and they look so wonderful (and we cannot forget the must haveitness of her new book). So, of course, I must have them all. Inspired Cable Knits looks absolutely amazing. Judging from the pictures I've seen, there will be a few must-knits in there (my to-knit list is getting a bit out of control). And then we have Mason-Dixon Knitting which everyone says is wonderful. So, my budget is toast. And this does not include the fiber I will have to buy to support this new spinning habit. Plus the yarn... Yipes!

Speaking of spinning...

Lennie and I made this on Sunday. From some fiber Marcia sent me. Isn't she sweet? It's getting better. Now I have to figure out how to use the plying head on my wheel and I'll attempt some plying.

And, I've turned the heel on the first Sockapaloooza sock.

My gauge appears to be on, but I'm not sure this sucker is going to fit. I thought I'd finish the heel and put it on some scrap yarn and see what's what. If I have to frog it again, I may cry.

I bought a new car (and was kind of sick about it for a few days). A Nissan Murano - in red! I love it. Travis isn't sure it's quite as great as I think it is because, well, you know... it isn't a truck. Which I can't argue with. But, I think it's better than a truck (and besides, we already have a truck - a big truck). My plan is to take it on a road trip and he'll fall in love with it. We'll see. I just got it yesterday, so I'll try to get some pictures of it for you.

This week has been better than last week. We may have turned the corner of craziness - hopefully.

Congratulations on the new car! Drive safe. And the sock looks great. Hope it fits.

The sock looks great and in my experience that pattern is very stretchy. Congrats on the new car!

The yarn looks great, the sock even better (I may cry to if you have to rip it, it's very nice). And that car is beautiful! I think you put lots and lots of yarn and fiber in it, and books too!

You can most definitely put lots of yarn and fiber in your pretty new car. I drive a red vehicle too (suburban). I love red cars! I hope that sock fits you. I'll be bummed for you if you have to frog it!

Argh - just when I thought I had all the knitting books I could ever possibly need, you go and link to that cable knits book. Must. Have. Cable. Book.

Keeping my fingers crossed that your sock is the right size. It would be awful if you had to frog again, especially since this is the perfect pattern for that yarn.

Oh love the socks, what a gorgeous color for them.

I already fell victim to those books and links....that Harlot is one convincing lady. The spinning looks wonderful. There are no words for those socks...

Good books seem to come out all at once. My budget is toast, too. You're spinning is looking pretty good! Are you taking classes at Estes Park in June?

Oh and congrats on the new car!

Congrats on the new car! Your spinning is looking great! And I adore your sockapaloooza sock so I'm crossing fingers it will fit!

Your yarn is looking really great. Congrats on the car - looks super-snazzy! I just took out Inspired Cable Knits from the library, and I was less than inspired, actually - each design had some element that I just couldn't stomach - the only one I could see myself knitting was the one with the ties that Steph had a photo of on her blog.

Your and Lennie's handiwork is looking good! The sockapaloooza sock is looking good too! I'm glad you changed the pattern. Don't worry about Travis, I think he's just jealous he didn't get a new VEHICLE =)

You and Lennie seem to have bonded really well! The sock is looking good, and yum, those yarns from Sundara...you enabler you. Congrats on the new car, let's see the pix!

I have the same issues! Today I bought "Knitting Rules" and the Fiona Ellis book. I came home from work, read a review of "Mason Dixon Knitting" and now I want that too. Plus, your spinning is not helping me resist these sudden urges to do likewise! I'm feeling as though my fellow bloggers are terrible influences! I love it!

maybe turning the heel made everything better. :)

ooooh! love those socks! Great color and great pattern. I really hope it fits!

congrats on your car!

Best of luck with the new car....you don't need two trucks! And you and Lennie are doing great...told you he'd teach you how to spin! On the books (NOBODY buys more books than I do!) I wasn't so impressed with the Ellis book, and I am really into cables at the moment. I flipped through it and put it back. I did buy Stephanie's new book, though. Can't wait to see your plying.

Beautiful socks - the pattern and that yarn look so pretty together.

Be safe in the new car - and it is RED! If you had bought it next month, it would have been orange, right? :)

Congrats on the new car. It looks perfect for road tripping.

I love the sock and I really hope that it fits. There is something about the color or the definition in the pattern that is really beautiful.
