Call Me A Joiner
I have officially joined my first Sockapaloooza. I missed out on the last one and didn't know a thing about it when the first one was going on. I'm pretty excited to knit a pair of socks for someone. I think it will be fun to go outside my comfort zone a bit and knit something fun and challenging for someone who will hopefully appreciate the end result. The deadline isn't until May, so I should have plenty of time to fit a pair of socks into the lineup.
And, just to keep with a general theme of joining, I also joined Lolly's Project Spectrum. She's so creative and I look forward to not only knitting, but baking and maybe sewing in color.
Thank you all so very much for your wonderful comments on the frist mitten. I really couldn't have done it without all of your input and support. You guys are the best. I cast on for the second mitten this morning and hope to make decent progress at lunch. Ombre is still in the works and will see some serious knitting time this weekend. And tomorrow I'll have the finished red scarf to show you before I mail it off.

I joined Sockapaloooza for the first time as well. I went back and forth on it for awhile, and finally signed up because it would kick me into sock knitting mode. I'm looking forward to trying something new too.

We get by (and are enabled) with a little help from our friends...it's a good thing;-)

I joined them both, too! Sounds like good clean fun to me! Any compulsory (ok, not forced, but voluntary - but that's not what I tell Bob) knitting is just fine with me. Especially this time of the year!

Oh you joiner you! I've never joined one of the thingys either, I'm tempted, but then just never join because I don't know if I'll actually have the time. At least the deadline isn't until May.

It must be something in the water...I joined the Project Spectrum, too! No sockapawhatsis yet, though. I think I have enough on my plate. But, the PS sounded intriguing. I have some ideas already that will involve my brand new drum carder and maybe even a wheel or two! Or, baking. Or, dyeing. Or, ......

Project Spectrum sounds like a lot of fun! It is interesting how different colors can make you feel. I can't wait to see all the pretty colored things you are going to make!

Hi, Steph! Thanks for telling me about Lolly's Project Spectrum! I don't know how I missed it as I went trolling through the blogs tonight. But I'm glad you pointed it out. I just signed up. Yay!
Have fun with Sockapalooza!

I was thinking about joining the sockapaloooza, but I just decided it was too much stress. This year I am knitting for enjoyment. I am looking forward to seeing your Project Spectrum entries, though!
