Turtleneck Shrug
I received my lovely Turtleneck Shrug from Rosa more than a week ago and have been very negligent in taking a decent picture and posting about my scarf/shrug. I received my shrug as part of the SYNO scarf swap.

The shrug is made with Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran Tweed in Bark. I love how soft and tweedy it is and Rosa did a wonderful job. The sleeves are quite long, but I like long sleeves. Rosa ran out of yarn on the turntleneck, so it is 2 inches shorter than called for in the pattern. The Wool Shack has another ball of yarn in the same dye lot. What do you all think I should do? Leave the neck at the length it is, or add another 2 inches as per the pattern?
I'm going out of town for the weekend. I will try to post, but it may not happen. If I don't talk to you all before, have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hannukah, and a wonderful time with friends and family. Be happy, healthy, and safe in whatever you do. I'll leave you with a picture of my Christmas tree.

Have a wonderful Chrismast. Best Wishes to you and yours.

Lovely turtleneck! I like shorter turtlenecks (because I have a short neck), but if you like them all they way up to your chin, maybe add a little bit? Merry Christmas to you, too!

Like you, I like longer sleeves. I also like longer turtlenecks, so I'd probably add to it. Especially if the yarn isn't at all itchy.
Happy Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you too!
The shrug looks good as is, but what about taking a little yarn from the sleeves and adding to the neck?

On me a short turtlenek - on you, you have a long neck - like Audrey Hepburn - add the 2 inches! But if you leave it the way it is, it still looks great. Love your homegrown tree! Merry Christmas to you and your honey!

I'd make it longer.
Have a great holiday!

I like the shorter turtleneck, but it really is a matter of preference. I really like this yarn - that is what I used for a recent beret, and I have been thinking about getting more for a sweater. So pretty!
Very Merry Christmas, Steph. Safe travels too ;)

I think you should add on. It looks short to me. But then again, I'm the type that likes the turtleneck snuggled up under my chin.

I've been reading...just little time to comment. Love the Ronnie, the hat, the mittens...your shrug (I would add the couple inches...even take from the sleeves...)and the tree! Gorgeous!
Happy Holidays

I like the shrug just the way it is. However, trust your gut on whether you'd wear it more the other way. It seems to me that more yarn/money and time would make it different, but not necessarily more lovely. I've never seen the photo of how it was "supposed" to look, though...

Great tree picture. I need to see if I can get one in the dark like that. How does the turtleneck look if its not folded down, just scrunched a little? I hope you had a great Christmas!
