Ombre Update
Ombre, while still a long way from finished, is starting to take shape. I finished the 4th stripe and made decent progress on the 5th last night. So, as promised, here's a peak.
And for those of you who are interested, here's a look at the stitches on the front and the back.
I'd love to finish the 5th and make good progress on the 6th stripe over the holiday weekend. Knitting time on this will be a bit limited on Thanksgiving because the recipient will be hanging out at my house all day, but that will be a good time to work on Ronnie.
Friday was a good day for sky pictures. This is the sunset from my office. You just don't get colors like this every day.

That sky is amazing. I wish skys looked like that every evening, it's be something to look forward to each day.

I am generally just a blog-lurker, but I am so excited about your sky picture that I just have to share it with you. You make me want to move to Wyoming. What region are you in? I drove through Star Valley on my way from Yellowstone back to Utha(my home!) this summer and was stunned by that way-western side of the state. I grew up in TX, and although I love the mountains above the Salt Lake Valley, sometimes I miss the big skies.
Also, I love your blanket. Don't ever let anyone tell you browns aren't cool. It is my favorite color - so earthy and warm. Lovely.
