Thank you all for the wonderful comments on my new purse. It's fun and it wasn't a huge investment - so when I get tired of it (which I will eventually) I won't be out a lot of money. The weather here sucks. The roads were closed most of the day yesterday - something about a multi-car crash - and opened just in time for me to drive home. It took twice as long as usual and top speed was 35 mph in four-wheel drive. I love the first storm of the year. Really. Knitting continues slowly. I'm feeling the itch of a new project, but I really am worried about Ombre, so I will continue until I get less worried or I just can't take any more. We'll see which comes first.

Ugh, now that doesn't sound like fun. After a day like that, I can see why I shouldn't complain about our mere high winds. Of course my husband got home and tried to turn our furnace on, and the pilot light wouldn't light. So he's trying to fix that, because tonight it's supposed to get pretty cold and we don't want Basil to freeze.

Keep chugging away on Ombre -- you'll be glad you did. But just out of curiousity, if you were starting a new project... what would it be?

I hear you about the first storm, we were supposed to have and inch of ice and snow tonight before I left work. Thankfully the temp's been hovering at 33 degrees and no one was being crazy on the roads. Once you get Ombre out of the way you'll feel so much better.

Listening to all this winter talk makes me miss living in NY for about a second or so. We are having very high winds and it's supposed to be 37 tonight. Yesterday 83 tomorrow 37 only in Texas. And I'm with Zarah just if you were thinking of a new project - not that you are - but if you were, what would it be?
