A Little Something About Me
Cyndi tagged me. So, here's a little something about me.
Ten Years Ago: I was in my junior year of college. I decided that there was no possible way I could go to three more years of school, so I'd decided against law school. I was a marketing major and enjoyed my business classes. I was college rodeoing and Travis and I broke up after dating for 2 years - he wanted to see other people.
Five Years Ago: I was in my first year of law school - funny how things change. Travis and I had moved back to Laramie from Dallas for school. I was working at a day spa and for a wedding photographer and going to school full-time.
One Year Ago: Travis and I had been married for almost a year. I was a little over a year into my first attorney job and had finally started feeling like I wasn't the stupidest person on the planet - school just doesn't teach you what you need to know. We'd been in our house for three years and I'd just started painting and shopping for furniture - and had started getting rid of that college furniture that's so lovely.
Five Snacks: 1) chips and salsa, 2) cheese and crackers, 3) popcorn - Pop Secret Homestyle, 4) homemade cookies, 5) dark chocolate anything
Five Songs I Know All The Words To: 1) The Gambler by Kenny Rogers - my "favorite" song when I was a kid, 2) Me and You by Kenney Chesney - my wedding song, 3) Alcohol by Brad Paisley - my sister manages a bar - this song always makes me think of her, 4) The National Anthem, 5) Amazing Grace
Five Things I Would Do With $100 Million Dollars: 1) Give it to Travis to manage - I'm not a good money manager, 2) Buy property somewhere warm so my husband would be happy - he hates cold weather, 3) Open a yarn store - I know, but it's true, 4) Provide for my family, 5) Let Travis decide what to do with the rest.
Five Places To Run Away To: 1) Kauai, Hawaii, 2) Ireland, 3) Australia, 4) Any tropical island, 5) Home
Five Things I Would Never Wear: 1) Exposed lingerie (except for a camisole), 2) Jeans to a wedding (people do that in Wyoming), 3) A short ruffled skirt (I'd look like a crane), 4) Skin tight pants, 5) Fashion cowboy boots (just wear the real thing)
Five Favorite TV Shows: 1) Alias, 2) Lost, 3) Grey's Anatomy, 4) CSI, 5) According to Jim
Five Biggest Joys: 1) Travis, 2) Riley, 3) Our Families, 4) My House, 5) Feeling Content
Five Favorite Toys: I totally need some new toys. 1) My knitting stuff, 2) My digital camera, 3) Cooking gagets, 4) The horses (they aren't toy's but they're a lot of fun), 5) ?
I can't keep track of who's done this and who hasn't, but if you haven't already done it, I'm tagging Diana and Grumperina (if you want to).
Now, on to knitting news. Backyard Leaves is finished! I finished it late last night and it's so pretty. Tonight it's scheduled for a swim in the sink and then the blocking board. I plan to have this finished this weekend and mailed off to Blossom on Monday. So, as you know, now that the scarf is finished it's time to start Frieda! I cast on last night and this morning have 10 rows of ribbing.
Have a great day.

Alright, Steph, I'll drop you a line when I answer this (I haven't been tagged yet!). It may be on my non-knitting blog, since there isn't a lot of knitting content in this one :).

It's neat to learn more about you! It must have been hard to work 2 jobs and go to school full-time.
Congrats on finishing Backyard Leaves!! YAY!! And Freida looks great so far.

You go girl! I love finishing projects. I get itchy to start something new mid-way in a current project it seems. In reading your answers, we have soooooo much in common. I'm not a lawyer but in a past life I was a legal secretary. I don't know what is up with "Lost". I'm not sure the writers know what is up either. They just keep bringing up more questions and last nights ending was just bizarre. Where did that guy come from? Now I think all these people are just dreaming! Your new project is looking good!

We like a lot of the same shows. I actually own the first three seasons of Alias on DVD. Although I think season three sucked, and season four only narrowly sucked less. I don't have high hopes for this season.
Congratulations on finishing Backyard Leaves! Frieda looks awesome!

This meme is really going around, huh? I enjoyed reading your answers - it's pretty cool that you were rodeoing in college. I've never heard of that before (as a college sport) but it sounds intriguing.
Frieda's color is really gorgeous.
