Phildar Zip Cardigan
So, it's done and I like it, but there's something wrong with it.
Can you see the wonky neckline on the right side from the zipper? No? Well here's a close-up:
The right side doesn't lay flat. I'm guessing I stretched it when I put in the zipper, but I'm really not sure and I'm not sure I want to fix it - talk about a hassle. I'm tired of this project. What do you all think? Is it worth fixing or should I try to wash it and block it and see if that helps? I steam blocked it, but that didn't really do much. Any advise would be appreciated.
I've turned the heal on the Sherbet Sock and imagine I'll be done with it tomorrow or Saturday. Then, it's on to the shrug. I'm really excited to start this project and I think it will be a quick one.
Work has momentarily slowed, but I think I may be in the eye of the storm. Travis didn't go by the post office yesterday (darn it), but he promised to go today. So, keep your fingers crossed, and I hope to have yarn pictures tomorrow. Have a great day.

It looks fabulous! I would try to wash and block it to see if it helps the neckline...then decide what to do if that doesn't work.

Looks great! It fits you really well. I'm not sure what you can do with the zipper - I haven't knit anything with a zipper yet. Hopefully washing/blocking will help even it out for you.

The cardigan looks awesome and fits well! I don't know how to fix the zipper either. But you still did an amazing job on the cardigan! You should be proud of yourself!!

beautiful! i hope mine will look as good as that! i love the colour as well. how did you like the licorne? i'm using babycash but i've heard good things about the licorne.
i would definitely try to wash and block first. hopefully that evens things out.
congrats on a great job!

I love the cardigan!! I can't tell that it is wonky, but I'd try to wash and block it before doing anything else. It fits you perfectly.

Love it! You finished - yah you!
I'm not sure what to suggest as I've never worked with a zipper before but I would definately try blocking it first. That's the easiest option at this point.
It'll be interesting to see if they same things happens to mine, assuming of course, I ever get to the bloody zipper stage. :)

Wash it and block it. Then if the zipper is still wonky, rip it out in the wonky part and re-sew.

I think you should try to block it and see what happens then. Its hard to tell from the picture, but I think it looks gorgeous!

Wow, looks great!
It does look like you stretched the knit part when you sewed in the zipper on the right side... it retracted and created the ripple because the zipper was then longer than what it was sewn to.
You don't have to decide right away -- if you decide later it drives you nuts, you can rip it out and re-sew then.

You're making me jealous! That sweater makes you look hot :) I think the zipper looks fine, or at least maybe you can't tell from the photo?? Sometimes things show up more in person. Either way, it's rockin.

I think your cardi looks great, and if you're sick of looking at it, just leave it as is and hope that it flattens and molds to your body as you wear it. But, really, I don't think there's even a problem to fix :).

i say give blocking a go if it is annoying you. but to be honest i can't see it either.
it justs looks fantastic! what yarn did you end up using?

It looks like a perfect fit! Gosh, what a great job. As for the zipper, well you've already gotten a lot of feedback. Ya think steam-ironing would the same as re-blocking it? That's all I could think of that hasn't already been mentioned. Did you happen to take pictures while you sewed up the zipper?

It looks great...but I am reminded of a quote from Becky..."Block the dickens out of the front parts slappy." That's the most I would do, as other's have said, there doesn't look like there is anything to really fix.

Zipper installation in sweaters is my enemy. Your cardigan is perfectly fitted, other than that wavy area! Hope blocking works, otherwise it might require a re-sew.

I am finally getting the chance to catch up on all of my favorite blogs... and what a lovely FO to come here and see, Stephanie! I love that rich blue color. I really had to look at the picture to see what you were talking about with the zipper--I still barely notice it. Hopefully a good blocking will help set it straight. It is absolutely beautiful! One of those patterns that you could just wear everyday! ;)
